5. Co-plan the first 5 minutes intensively

The first 5 minutes often determine the whole lesson:

• Hook to engage
• Clear instructions posted visually
• Model exactly what students will do
• Check for understanding before devices open

6. Establish help-seeking routines

When students get stuck, they disrupt:

• Create a "help signal" (sticky note, cup system, name on board)
• Teach "Ask 3 Before Me" or similar peer-help structure
• Have tech helpers for device issues

7. Plan for early finishers

Bored students = chaotic students:

• Extension activities ready
