The Power of Paraphrasing

Front: Students' understanding of CT and CS concepts may be quickly checked by asking a student to say, in their own words, what they are expected to do.

Back: Check for understanding. Have students repeat back their understanding of a CT or CS concept or instructions for a task. If one student doesn't have a clear understanding of what to do, there is a chance that many do not. One way to do this is to ask for a volunteer to explain the concept or instruction to the class. Be sure to make any corrections respectfully.
