Coach actions:

• Teach all or part of the lesson while teacher observes
• Use think-alouds to make your decisions visible
• Stop periodically to explain what you're doing and why
• Invite teacher questions

Teacher actions:

• Observe and take notes
• May act as "a student" to experience the lesson
• Notices specific strategies and language
